"We all watched with horror and fear the footage and media reports when the Black Saturday fires ravaged the Victorian communities of Gippsland and Kinglake districts on February 7, 2009.

Kinglake is located approximately 50 kilometres north east of Melbourne and over a period of 20 years has carved out a niche within the Australian wildflower industry for its high quality flower crops – specializing in predominantly mid-to late-season Proteacea Genus such as Protea, Waratah, Leucadendron and Leucospermum."
