March is the start of the Australian autumn - still quite warm weather in the west and north parts of the country, but the prime time of year in the south east where 25°C long days are the norm and the heat blasts of January and February have long pass. The recent summer has been relatively mild, especially when compared to the extreme heat and bush fires we had in the summer of 2009.
The range and quality of red Leucadendrons is excellent and popular varieties at present include Safari Sunset, Silvan Red and Red Devils.
In greens Leucadendron, we have Discolour Female singles on 60cm stem length and Leucadendron Inca Gold.
Protea Pink Ice supply is on the increase and stem lengths from 50-70cm now available. The quality is superb at present.
Banksia prinotes continues to be our main Banksia at present and our staff at WAFEX Perth have been very busy tinting/dyeing these Banksia is a range of spring and easter colours. Try a mix box this week!
We have just started on our crop of Roseberry which is being picked on 80-100cm stem lengths festooned with masses of red berries.
